Willie Sue’s Food and Spirits Restaurant was opened in November 2014 by Sumter native Ricky McLeod. He named it after grandmother, Willie Sue McLeod. The use of reclaimed wood from Sumter’s old railroad station as well as historical pictures of Sumter create an ambiance reminiscent of simpler days. The vast menu consists of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, seafood, steak, ribs, and chicken. The steaks are cooked to perfection on a one-of-a-kind wood grill. Complete with flat-screen TVs, the bar boasts one of the largest bourbon selections in South Carolina, ice-cold draft beer, and many specialty drinks. The restaurant also has a heated/ cooled outdoor patio for accommodating large parties.
