Vicki's Easy Chicken Nuggets

  • 1 package boneless skinless chicken strips
  • 1 whole onion sliced in wedges
  • 2 eggs beaten Buttermilk
  • 2 cups flour
  • ¼ tablespoon seasoned salt
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying


  • Slice chicken strips in half the long way and place in a large bowl. Add onion and eggs. Add buttermilk to cover and refrigerate 2 to 24 hours. Combine flour with seasonings. Remove chicken from refrigerator; bring to room temperature. Heat oil for frying. For each strip, remove from marinade, allow to drip for a second, roll in seasoned flour and deep-fry until golden brown
