Vestige is a contemporary American restaurant in beautiful, historic downtown Ocean Springs. The restaurant is locally owned by Ocean Springs native and chef Alex Perry and his wife, Kumi Omori. The fare is often inspired by flavors and techniques of Japan, where Kumi grew up, Alex finds it intriguing and delicious. When they serve Southern staples or freshly baked bread, it’s usually Kumi behind the cooking. She finds them fascinating as a transplant to the beautiful Gulf Coast. Alex and Kumi believe in seasonality, sustainability, and locality whenever possible. These tenets allow them to create wholesome dishes that they feel good about serving and eating.
