Smackover Roughneck Dip

  • 6 to 7 jalapeños
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 quart mayonnaise
  • 2 cans tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard


  • Cut ends from jalapeños, slice lengthwise and remove seeds.
  • Combine in blender with lemon juice and vegetable oil; process until smooth.
  • Set aside.
  • Combine mayo, tomato paste, garlic powder, and mustard.
  • Just before serving, mix with jalapeño mixture and serve with chips.
