  • 2 pounds julienned or shoestring carrots
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Dash pepper
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • ¼ cup butter melted


  • Place carrots in electric skillet and toss with oil, nutmeg, salt, pepper and water.
  • Cook on medium heat, covered, stirring occasionally, 10 to 15 minutes or until tender.
  • Remove from heat and toss with melted butter.
