Sausage Egg Bake Recipe


Sausage Egg Bake

  • 8 slices white bread crusts trimmed
  • Butter softened
  • 1 pound ground pork sausage
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 6 large eggs beaten
  • 2 cups half-and-half
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon black pepper


  • Butter each slice of bread on 1 side.
  • Place bread, butter side up, in a 9x13-inch pan treated with cooking spray.
  • Brown sausage in a skillet until cooked and crumbled.
  • Drain sausage and place over bread slices.
  • Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Combine eggs, half-and-half, salt and pepper; pour over top.
  • Cover and chill at least 8 hours.
  • Remove from refrigerator and let sit 30 minutes.
  • Bake, uncovered, in a 350° oven 45 minutes or until golden brown.
