Salmon Loaf Appetizer

  • 1 1-pound can salmon
  • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons grated onion
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
  • ¼ teaspoon liquid smoke
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • 3 tablespoons snipped fresh parsley


  • Drain and flake salmon removing any skin and bones.
  • Add cream cheese, lemon juice, onion, salt, horseradish and liquid smoke.
  • Mix thoroughly and shape into a loaf.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and chill several hours.
  • Combine pecans and parsley.
  • Remove plastic wrap from loaf and roll in nut mixture.
  • Cover and chill well.
  • Serve with crackers.
