Romaine, Fruit, Nut and Cheese Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 8- to 10-ounce package chopped
  • romaine lettuce
  • ½ cup dried cranberries
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds
  • ¼ cup crumbled blue cheese
  • Blue cheese salad dressing

Instructions

  • This salad can have many variations if you change the fruit, nuts, cheese and dressings.
  • In the summer you can use fresh fruit such as strawberries, blueberries, melons, raspberries and cherries, just to name a few.
  • You can also use fresh fruit in the fall and winter such as apples, pears, grapefruit and oranges.
  • Pecans, almonds, peanuts, walnuts, pine nuts, macadamia nuts and others are always available to choose from.
  • Cheese choices are many, as are salad dressings, so just choose the ones you like.
  • There is no end to the many different tastes you can have by mixing the ingredients.
