The good times are waiting, the welcome mat is out, come to Mendota for one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest harvest festivals.  Experience a true family festival by Mendota Chamber of Commerce. Free musical entertainment, The Crafter’s Market Place and flea market, Queen Pageant, carnival with rides for both adults and children, and food booths featuring a multitude of ethnic, regional and festival foods.  Don’t miss the “Big Event” on Sunday afternoon, the serving of tons of free hot, buttered, delicious Del Monte sweet corn. For more than 68 years, the corn has been cooked to its golden goodness with the help of a vintage steam engine. The Chamber will be selling fresh Del Monte corn by the bag during the festival.  Be sure to get your share of the sweet buttered corn offered for your enjoyment.  Everyone enjoys a parade, ours is great.
