The McGuire’s Brickhouse Restaurant built in 1917, this house-turned-restaurant was fully restored to take a step back in time. It is complete with a gold Victorian-style ceiling, rich mahogany wood, and even a sliding bookcase that makes this Prohibition-era house easily convert to the style of a speakeasy, hiding the added-on dining and bar areas. The large back patio and front deck make this a go-to spot on a warm day to enjoy your meal with friends outside. The food is one of a kind for the area. Dough for the pizza is made fresh daily to make it a memorable experience. The favorite of locals thus far has been the unique Philly Cheesesteak Pizza. Burgers follow suit with unique toppings, such as the one that has the town’s namesake mixed in—the ‘Prestonsburger’. You will find the recipe for this burger on the adjoining page, but you have to stop in to try the original.
