Leona Drug Store Restaurant
126 North Leona Boulevard
Leona, TX 75850
The Leona Drug Store Restaurant was rebuilt in 1922 after a downtown fire destroyed the building. Restoration began in 2000, and it was reopened for business in 2001, with the original look and layout from the 1920s. Leona Drug Store is connected to the Leona General Store next door by a working crank telephone. Gifts include candles, coffee, cookbooks, Texas history books, old crank telephones, cards, etc. Drinks are served from the soda fountain—no bottled drinks—using recipes from old drug store publications. Just like the 1920s, Leona Drug Store serves shakes, malts, phosphates, floats, banana splits, hot fudge, limeades, and sodas.
