  • 1 pound beef stew meat
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 2 medium onions sliced
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 ⁄2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 bouillon cubes
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 cups diced potatoes


  • Cut meat into 1-inch cubes and brown in skillet, adding a bit of oil if needed. Add garlic, onions, paprika, salt and pepper. Dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water and add to mixture. Cover and simmer 21⁄2 hours. Add hot water and potatoes. Cook 20 minutes longer or until potatoes are tender.
