This can be made the day before and refrigerated. Leftovers are great warmed in the microwave. May substitute ½ cup shredded cheese for the Topping. Yield: 12 servings.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds frozen Southern Style Hash Browns defrosted
  • 1 stick butter melted
  • 1 10.75-ounce can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups grated Cheddar cheese

TOPPING:

  • 2 cups crushed corn flakes
  • 1/2 stick butter melted

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients well. Place in a buttered 9x13-inch baking dish.

TOPPING:

  • Combine crushed corn flakes with melted butter.
  • Sprinkle evenly over casserole.
  • Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes or until bubbly.
