Ham and Cheese Sandwiches
Ingredients
- 1½ pounds sliced deli ham 4 long slices
- 1 8-ounce package Swiss cheese (4 long slices)
- 1 stick butter
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon grated onion
- 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
- 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 24-roll packages ready-to-serve rolls
Instructions
- Cut ham and cheese in small pieces about the size of one roll.
- Melt butter and mix in remaining ingredients, except rolls.
- Break rolls in 3 rows.
- Slice each row open; lay aside.
- Spread butter mixture on both sides.
- Top with a slice of cheese and a slice of ham.
- Fold rolls back together and place back in pan until ready to cook. (Can be made ahead of time and frozen.)
- Bake fresh rolls 20 minutes at 350°. (If frozen, bake at 250° for 30 minutes.)
