Georgia Goober Butter Cookies

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14-ounce
  • 1 to 1/4 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups biscuit baking mix
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Chopped Georgia peanuts


  • Beat condensed milk, peanut butter, egg and vanilla until smooth. Add biscuit mix; mix well. Refrigerate an hour or longer. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll in sugar. Place balls about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Use a fork to press the balls flat and make in a criss-cross pattern in the dough. Press in a small amount of chopped peanuts. Bake at 350° about 15 minutes or until lightly browned; don’t over-cook.
