Easy Georgia Crawdaddy Étouffée

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds frozen crawfish thawed
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup 10.5-ounce
  • 1 can cream of celery soup 10.5-ounce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 Vidalia onion finely chopped
  • 2 green bell peppers chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 2 tablespoons parsley flakes
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper
  • hot sauce
  • Crushed red pepper flakes
  • 3 to 4 cups cooked rice

Instructions

  • In a large pot, combine crawfish, soups and water over medium heat.
  • In a large skillet, sauté onion, bell pepper and garlic in butter until veggies are tender; add to pot along with remaining ingredients except rice.
  • Reduce heat.
  • Cover and cook until mixture thickens.
  • Serve over hot rice.
