Easy Georgia Crawdaddy Étouffée
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds frozen crawfish thawed
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup 10.5-ounce
- 1 can cream of celery soup 10.5-ounce
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 Vidalia onion finely chopped
- 2 green bell peppers chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1/2 stick butter
- 2 tablespoons parsley flakes
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- Salt and pepper
- hot sauce
- Crushed red pepper flakes
- 3 to 4 cups cooked rice
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine crawfish, soups and water over medium heat.
- In a large skillet, sauté onion, bell pepper and garlic in butter until veggies are tender; add to pot along with remaining ingredients except rice.
- Reduce heat.
- Cover and cook until mixture thickens.
- Serve over hot rice.
