Easy Butter-Dipped Breadsticks
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup butter
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cup milk
- Salt season salt, garlic salt, and/or Creole seasoning (optional)
Instructions
- Heat oven to 450 degrees.
- Melt butter in large, flat baking pan with sides. (Remove pan from oven when butter is melted.)
- Stir together flour, sugar, and milk until dough clings together.
- Turn onto well-floured board; roll to coat with flour.
- Knead.
- Roll out to 1/2-inch thick rectangle.
- Cut dough in half lengthwise (using floured knife or pizza cutter) then cut into 3/4-inch-wide strips.
- Dip strips in melted butter then lay them in same pan with melted butter.
- Bake 10 minutes or until golden brown.
- Immediately after removing from oven, sprinkle with salt or garlic salt or Creole seasoning, if desired.
- Serve hot.
