Started in 1970, Dave and Sandy Douglass opened this unique shop specializing in selling art and treasures created by Mother Nature. Dave’s offers their customers beautiful mineral and fossil specimens, jewelry created with semi-precious stones and unique Native American artistry.  Dave and Sandy began this adventure by fossil collecting in the Mazon Creek area of Illinois.  After many years of self-collecting and other fossil finding trips they had amassed such a sizable collection they opened a museum displaying the largest private collection of fossils representing every geological time period on display to the general public. Today the store is owned and operated by Sandy’s brother, Jamie and his wife, Susanne. You can truly take your children to a place back in time that teach them about natural treasures of the past.  Admission is free.
