Creamy Vidalia Onion and Bacon Dip
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 Vidalia onions chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/3 cup real bacon bits (small bits not large chunks)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 to 3 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1 1/2 teaspoons white wine vinegar
- Chopped parsley
Instructions
- Heat oil over medium heat in a saucepan or skillet.
- Add onions, salt and pepper; cook until onions are brown but not burned.
- Remove from heat and pour into a bowl to cool completely.
- Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Cover and chill at least 1 hour or until ready to serve.
