Chocolate Fudge Cake

Ingredients

  • Yellow cake mix plus ingredients to prepare per box
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 bag semisweet chocolate chips 12-ounce

Instructions

  • Prepare cake in 3 (8-inch) layers according to directions on box.
  • Cool; split each layer to create 6 layers.
  • In a heavy saucepan, bring margarine, sugar, and milk to full rolling boil.
  • Boil 2 minutes stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat and add chocolate chips; stir briskly until chocolate is melted.
  • Continue to beat with spoon until icing is thick and has lost most of the shine.
  • Place 1 layer on plate and pour icing over top; repeat with 4 more layers.
  • Place last layer on top and pour remaining icing over top allowing it to drip over sides.
  • Let Chocolate Fudge Cake recipe cool before serving.
