Chicken Nugget & Fruit Kabobs

  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 16 strawberries
  • 1 green apple cut into chunks and tossed in lemon juice
  • 16 cherry tomatoes
  • 16 to 24 cubes your favorite cheese


  • In a large resealable plastic bag, place breadcrumbs.
  • In a separate bag, place melted butter.
  • Add chicken to bag with butter.
  • Shake chicken pieces in butter, then breadcrumbs to coat.
  • Place in air fryer at 370° for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Thread 4 skewers with chicken, fruit, tomatoes and cheese until each skewer has equal amounts of each ingredient.


This simple dish served at most fast-food restaurants is taken to a whole new level simply by adding fruit, veggies or both. You can serve the kabobs with your favorite dipping sauces from barbecue to honey mustard and ranch to marinara. Kids love color, and we all know that we eat with our eyes first. When they feast their eyes on these beautiful masterpieces, they’ll be asking for more! What’s more, it’s a complete meal so no need for sides.
