BBQ Chicken Thighs

  • 1 bottle barbecue sauce 18-ounce
  • 1 bottle beer 12-ounce
  • 1 stick butter 1/2 cup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 Vidalia onion finely chopped
  • 10 to 12 chicken thighs


  • In a large pot, combine barbecue sauce, beer, butter, water and onion; heat until butter melts. Add chicken and simmer about 25 minutes. Remove chicken (discard sauce) and grill about 10 minutes over high heat to brown edges. (Do not overcook or chicken will dry out.) Serve hot. You can also bake this chicken uncovered in a 350° oven until done.
