Louis, Jr. and Wayne—“The Brothers”—learned the family business from an early age busing tables at The Barbecue Inn Restaurant , which was founded in 1946 by their parents, Louis and Nell Skrehot. Their 50-year partnership, coupled with hard work, determination, and an entrepreneurial spirit are responsible for making the Barbecue Inn the thriving business it is today. Local favorites include barbecue ribs that are “To-Die-For” plus the best fried seafood in the Gulf Coast area. The most popular menu item is the fried chicken, nationally recognized by Travel & Leisure, Food & Wine, and a host of others who agree it is some of the best fried chicken in the U.S.A.
