Easy Butter-Dipped Breadsticks

1/3 cup butter
2 cups self-rising flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup milk
Salt, season salt, garlic salt, and/or Creole seasoning (optional)

Heat oven to 450 degrees. Melt butter in large, flat baking pan with sides. (Remove pan from oven when butter is melted.) Stir together flour, sugar, and milk until dough clings together. Turn onto well-floured board; roll to coat with flour. Knead. Roll out to 1/2-inch thick rectangle. Cut dough in half lengthwise (using floured knife or pizza cutter) then cut into 3/4-inch-wide strips. Dip strips in melted butter then lay them in same pan with melted butter. Bake 10 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately after removing from oven, sprinkle with salt or garlic salt or Creole seasoning, if desired. Serve hot. Makes approximately 30 sticks.
