Chocolate Chip cookies.
Chocolate Chip Cookies
 

1 stick (1/2 cup) margarine, softened
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
2 1/4 cups self-rising flour
1 (8-ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips

 
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream margarine, shortening, and both sugars with an electric mixer. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and mix until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop large spoonfuls of dough onto a greased baking sheet. Bake 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes approximately 5 dozen.
