Blueberry Cake
This recipe is my preferred stand-by dessert in case we are invited to a friend's house for dinner because it is quick and easy, uses ingredients I usually have on hand, yet makes an impressive presentation. Try it; you'll love it, too.
 

1 yellow cake mix plus ingredients to prepare according to directions
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (8-ounce) carton Cool Whip
1 (21-ounce) can blueberry pie filling

 
Prepare cake mix in 3 8-inch layers according to directions on box; cool. Combine cream cheese and 3/4 of the Cool Whip. Place first layer, cover with 1/2 of the cream cheese mixture, top with 1/2 of the blueberry pie filling. Place second layer, cover with remaining cream cheese mixture, and all but about 3 tablespoons of the remaining pie filling. Place third layer. Cover with remaining Cool Whip; decorate center with remaining pie filling.
