Black Bottom Cupcakes
 

1 box chocolate cake mix plus ingredients to prepare according to package directions
1/3 cup sugar
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 egg
Dash salt
1 (6-ounce) package semisweet chocolate chips (1 cup)
 
Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Place paper baking cups in muffin pan; fill each one 2/3 full. Cream sugar and cream cheese; add egg and salt. Stir in chocolate pieces. Drop 1 rounded teaspoon of cream cheese mixture into each cupcake. Bake per package directions. Delicious cream cheese filling makes it unnecessary to frost these fun cupcakes.
